CMAS School Gloucestershire

CMAS is an organisation that has a strong track record in working with young people in the community, taking a person centred approach to support those who face challenges that make engaging in traditional education settings difficult.

Our School is based in Gloucestershire, using small groups and one to one work to encourage academic, social and personal learning.  We currently cater for year 9 -11 students who have found traditional, formal education difficult.

Ofsted reported:

Leaders have designed an aspirational curriculum that is the bedrock of the school.

Teaching staff use their good subject knowledge and understanding of the pupils to make learning interesting and memorable.

Staff have successfully nurtured a caring, inclusive school ethos. As a result pupils who were previously disengaged and uninterested in learning attend well and enjoy school.

Pupils make good progress in a range of subjects.

For students in Year 9 we will assess and explore integration or reintegration into other educational placements, schools and special schools, as individually appropriate.  For students in KS4 we will provide support through GCSE and other qualifications and help them to access a route to post 16 education.

We are focussed on working with young people who are out of school or at risk of permanent exclusion and we will be commissioned by local authority, special schools, alternative provision services and schools.  It contains the best aspects of formal education and innovative and solution-based ways of working that will be based on understanding and meeting the needs of our young people.
